Games Workshop has just released their new Warhammer 40k app! We’ve asked some of our painters what they think of the app so far. What are some things they like and don’t like about it. Russell I find it a bit tedious when list building and you want to look up unit rules, you have to click through the unit page to find what you’re looking for. It’s annoying you can’t rename a list. I did notice that when you look at the unit card it will still include wargear you didn’t select for the unit. I do like being able to click a rule and it’ll tell me about the rule itself, this can save on scouring through rules/keywords. When you do have all the wargear you want for a unit, it is separated in a nice way, you’ve got melee weapons, ranged weapons, and abilities all in their own category. List sharing is also really nice and easy with a one click copy button. Jeremy So far, it’s simple and easy enough to use, but that’s not saying terribly much considering how simplistic list building is now. There’s a few bugs here and there, nothing to be overly critical about though. My two biggest complaints would be, needing to manually add all the baked in weapons a unit comes with (and while we’re at it, why am I even adding models one at a time?) and not having any way to pre-assign leaders to their units, or units to transports.
